Oslyn established Backpack International in 2015, after visiting Guyana, South America for the first time in 14 years. After seeing that the children did not have a playground or park, no community center, or other positive outlets for these children. She felt the need to do something to make a difference in the lives of children and youth in Guyana.

Inspired by a vision to expand this ministry domestically, Oslyn started Terra Nova Educational Resource Center. This school in Sunrise, Florida aims to provide a Christ-centered education in a nurturing environment that fosters a love of learning.
Terra Nova offers quality educational and enrichment activities to families in order to assist in raising up well-equipped citizens of character who are community minded.
